New painting… Part of my new ‘Rooted’ collection recently on show at Leighton Buzzard Library 😀

This piece shows a tree from Rushmere in its resilient, unabashed autumn glory, accompanied by its clan. It has lost branches but continues to go its own way, spreading its limbs in all directions, including reaching out to us as we look at it.

Complementary colours of green and red bring focus to this tree in its environment, while also signifying nature and love respectively.

‘Belonging’, oil on canvas, 50x100cm, 2025.
