Last of the series

New painting… Part of my new ‘Rooted’ collection recently on show at Leighton Buzzard Library 😀 

This tree spoke to me of family and our place in nature. Based on a scene at Stockgrove, it evokes growing both as individuals and together in a community, as well as how we are defined by time. The sunlight and surrounding plants, which are rendered in an Impressionistic style, point to the changeable seasons too.
