It’s part of my new collection of animal paintings, now on display at Aylesbury Library and yes, it’s for sale, so please message me if you like it! This is my much loved dog Sadie, keenly eyeing up something to chase on one of our walks.
The whole series uses strong background colours in swirls of acrylic behind black and white animal portraits in oils. For this one I used a very bright background to complement the dark fur, and different brushes and brushwork for the white on her chest.
